I wanted to update this today, but I woke up super sick and haven't been up for it 
I hope to give my confessional more love on this tribe. I have a feeling I'm going to have a lot to say soon; it feels like this is where my game is finally going to get exciting.
I'm mostly satisfied with where I landed in the popularity rankings. To be honest, I would have rather been placed in the third tribe, and that's where I expected to go. Now I have a better idea of how others are seeing me. I meant to keep a lower profile than I apparently have been. Fortunately, I don't think I'm too far off of where I want to be, and it's certainly still manageable. I'm just going to have to play the long game: leaving just enough threats around that I slide into the middle of the pack.
I went into this tribe with an open mind. Makoto almost immediately went "okay so obviously we're voting Chihiro or Chiaki right?" and that really put me off. Makoto's becoming someone I'd like to distance myself from somewhat soon, but for right now I think I need to rely on him. Regardless, I wasn't about to write off anyone on this tribe without at least having some conversation with them.
I reconnected with Chihiro... a lot more than I expected to! They've become one of my favorite people in this game in the past couple of days. I'm beginning to understand that they struggle a lot with making the first move, socially. Mikan let me know that she got close with Chihiro on Mediators, and I know Chihiro's clique includes Sayaka, so I also see an opportunity for something more long-term forming between the surviving members of our two cliques. I took a chance on Chihiro and offered them an alliance yesterday, to which they seemed excited to accept.
It has immediately paid off; before the challenge tonight, Chihiro let me know that Chiaki sounded enthusiastic about her connections with Makoto and Gundham, but not me. I had been getting on decently with Chiaki I thought, and while I don't really have any problems with our conversations, it's worrying that I've presumably made the worst impression on her. It's definitely something to keep in mind while thinking about the upcoming vote.
I don't know what I want from this vote yet. I know two people I do not want to see eliminated: myself and Chihiro. Makoto seems to be leaning towards wanting a Chihiro vote currently, which is strange to me... but I'm going to try to sway him away from that. Chihiro performed well with her limited activity during this last challenge, so I'm hoping I can use that as an argument against voting for them. Beyond that... well, we're just going to have to see how it goes, aren't we?
