I realized my confessional was super disorganized with all in one thread. To those of you coming late, the end of the "welcome" thread has all of my first impressions about this tribe so I encourage you to read that if you want to know where I'm coming from.
So:
Mikan and Sonia are thinking about this tribe as a 2v2 with me as the swing vote, and therefore the critical vote. This is exactly what I'm hoping for as if Mikan and Sonia use that approach, Suichi and Kirumi will be forced to do the same. This would ensure I get out of the tribe alive.
If this is the setup, and I'm going to keep pushing it this way, who do I want to vote out?
Currently I'm looking at voting anyone but Mikan, and I'm leaning towards K/S(Kirumi/Suichi alliance)
Why?
Mikan is clearly resourceful as evidenced by her survival on her previous tribe. If we voted Sonia out, Mikan would absolutely start trying to buddy up again with K/S. She might not be successful, but that vote would be between me and her. I'm not sure if that's the position I'd like to put myself in.
The counterargument: K/S *hate* Chihiro. I've already promised to work with them against Chihiro and they might be super interested in keeping me around to kick off Chihiro at a later date.
My ideal way for this tribe to end would be for exactly Sonia and one of K/S getting voted out. Sonia seems less likely to work with me than Mikan, and I don't want to be in a potential 3 person tribe with 2 tight allies. That's the ideal way for me to get voted off.

Note: between voting out Kiurmi and Suichi I'm going to prioritize voting out Suichi because I expect Kirumi to have an idol or something fancy after coming back from exile. Running headfirst into that seems like a bad idea.
I think my plan is to vote out Suichi first, and then try to convince Mikan to vote Sonia out of fear that Kirumi has an idol and is targeting her. By voting Sonia from that scenario, we would force a tie and a revote (where we could eliminate Sonia), or eliminate Kirumi outright if she doesn't have an idol.
Breakdown:
next vote:
3-Suichi (Sonia, Mikan, me)
2-Mikan (K/S)
Vote after:
2-Kirumi(immune idol) (Sonia/Mikan)
1-Sonia (Me)
1-Mikan (Kirumi)
(Tie)
winning tribe comes in and adds an extra vote. Hopefully I wouldn't get ninja'd out of here. Ideally the tribe would be the tribe with Leon/Gundam/Makoto and my clique as I think I can get them to work with me, but we'll get there when we get there. Maybe Kirumi doesn't have an idol and this is all unnecessary, and maybe Kirumi would vote Sonia with me to just eliminate her with no tie.

(In the event of a revote, only the players involved in the tie are eligible for voting -- so you couldn't be voted out in that last scenario)

Yea uhhhh this got super interesting. I was expecting Kirumi to have something special, but I was not expecting Suichi to have something as well. Based on how well he did finding the hidden player, I'm not at all surprised. It's also felt like I've stumbled upon the start of a couple of hunts, but I've just been ignoring it completely.
Suichi is saying he has an item, and he's interested in letting me investigate it. I'm not sure what I have to lose, unless it's some crazy negative item. What effects could it have?
"You automatically get voted out in the event of a tie"
"Your vote counts as 0 in the event of a tie"
"you get transported to another tribe?"
"You don't get to vote this round"?
IDK man. Seems more likely it's a real item but holding it won't let me do anything. Maybe it's an item he needed to give to me for it to work? Why not tell me that then?
Most likely scenario is he's being honest. How to evaluate the situation from here?

Oh also the way that Sonia talked to me gave me TINGLES. Not much consideration there. It felt like she was leading me on and telling me what she wanted/expected me to hear.
What I didn't hear that I expected I would hear if they were serious about working with me:
Item consideration.
A longterm plan beyond this vote.
Simply put: more substance... I'm not happy with this at all. It is making me more likely to side with Suichi and Kirumi, but I also don't know who's being honest here.

Ooh there's Mikan, just in time for me to go to work  Am I just going to be the lame compromise vote here? Mikan thinks Sonia doesn't want a compromise and isn't bullshitting me at all. She's saying Kirumi and Suichi are looking for a compromise, but she's unsure if they've convinced them. It's really awkward being the only outsider here, because I am the only possible "delay" vote. I didn't expect either of them to want to delay a round, but I suppose whichever side has more items would likely be interested in delaying. |

Is the round you get eliminated always going to be the most interesting one? It seems like it will be unless you get crazy blindsided and they execute it perfectly. Seems hard to do.

So basically I need to convince Sonia and mikan that we're voting kimuri while they're telling kimuri and suichi they're targeting me. This is to dodge a potential idol or item from either of them.
Then I need to convince suichi and kimuri of the exact same play, but with Sonia.
This is so much playing with fire here, as I would have no way to tell if either side was trying to stab me. Even if it fails with one side, hopefully I can figure out which side it was and vote with the other and be part of a 3-2 and be safe. If I'm wrong, it would still just be a tie.
A really bad tie as I would have alienated my potential allies with the vote, but not immediately death.
If I fail to convince either side to avoid the compromise kill I'm just gonna die and there's nothing I can do to avoid that short of some crazy fake idol claim or bullshit like that.

Hmmmmmm. This is feeling like it's going to be an anticlimactic death of me. Oh well. Was fun while it lasted. The soccer/puzzle challenge was a blast.
If I was just a few seconds faster on those puzzles I woulda beaten out gonta and we'd have been invincible. Rip.

It's mostly a gut feeling here. A combination of the way they're talking to me and the volume of the conversations rapidly dropping off. Hopefully the latter can be explained by work/school starting and so they were less able to respond, but that's not making my gut feel any differently.
I don't think I'm going to make any crazy idol claim this late in the game. I don't think it would have the desired effect and I kinda just gotta stay true to the course. This is the "brilliant" plan I came up with and abandoning it now won't do me any favors.
I really hope you're asking that question because you can see their confessionals and their vote threads and it turns out everything's worked perfectly while I'm just sitting here being a paraniod little dumbass.

Alright I'm back. I am a little surprised it's setting up to be you vs. Sonia, because I have heard Kirumi's name quite a bit as a potential. I don't think you're in as dire circumstances as you may think.
I'll be honest, that the reason I've been so hesitant to outright say Sonia's name to you at this point, was because if I did, and you were allied with Mikan already, that would ruin any chance of me and Kirumi making it out alive because you could just side with them. If you were with them anyway, then the only way we'd make it through is convince them to vote you out and survive.
However, the fact that doesn't seem to be the case, and you're open minded to working with us (and it seems genuine and I don't see the motive in lying), means I feel much more safe talking other names with you with you now.

Wow. I was not expecting no votes on myself. Too much time playing deception games I guess. I saw Sonia's honest, upfront, and straightforward talking as clearly hiding something.
I think Mikan will be willing to work with me if I offer her an out, so the hard one to convince is going to be Suichi to get him to vote off Kirumi.

I feel so bad now. I had this exchange with mikan with 10 mins left in the phase: Me: There's no way we're sending you home this round. If there's anyone on this tribe I can trust I get the feeling it's you. We've actually voted together once and you've given me no reason to think we're going to change our 100% streak! Mikan: Awww thanks Saya. Yeah I'll be honest, I had a hard time knowing how you were going to handle getting back with me but that makes me feel great  We spent so little time that it was just hard to know for sure. Oh yea haven't been posting here much. Sorry spectators!
Things are basically going 100% as I "planned" they would go earlier, and this vote seems to be shaping up the same way.
I'm expecting a tie between Kim and sui, where we then need to win the tiebreaker. I'm fairly confident mikan will be more convincing then kimuri which should help her out.
Apparently Leon is telling mikan she can trust me.
