Celestia please don't call off work!
It's not worth it for a silly challenge. Gonta think we don't NEED all three people to do it. I think three is just the max. I'm free this afternoon or all day tomorrow.
I don't see a reason we'd be penalized if we had less than 3 people if need be!

Out of curiosity has anyone else ever seen the show it's based off (Figure it Out) on nickolodeon? I used to watch it all the time. I'm going to see if I can find an episode on YouTube to watch to get some ideas.

Gonta is taking a shower then I'll write up potential questions for this so we have a prepared list in advance (but obviously we'll just want to be flexible as the game progresses).
I think we'll also want to think of things to avoid as potential "secret actions". I think it might be something like double-posting, or the same person asking a question back-to-back (as the show had the contestants alternate asking questions).

Hmmm, I'm trying to think of good questions, but it really just depends on the answers and the phrase we know so far to determine where we'll go from there... CAREER QUESTIONS 1. Have you ever won a professional sports event or competed in a reality television show? 2. (if no to the above) Have you ever been an elected political figure, performed on a live stage, or crowned a food eating champion? CHARACTERISTIC QUESTIONS 3. Are you over the age of 20 but under the age of 30? (gives idea of age... and 'over' could be a trigger word in the phrase) 4. Do you identify as a female? ... 1-3 I think are good questions so far. 4 I think we'd only need if we care about the gender. We're not trying to identify the individual, we're just trying to get the phrase. I also think we should emphasize taking our time instead of rushing. Although time is tie-breaker, it'll be advantageous to ask thoughtful questions rather than rapid-fire questions. Here are some ideas of what the secret actions could be, but until we trigger one, we'll just want to be cautious. I propose we only post in the challenge thread as necessary. * Double-posting * Posting on an odd or even number (for time stamp) * Same person asking back-to-back questions * Using a certain (common) word * Getting a "Yes" to a question (this has been done on the show before... lol) * Using a certain word in the question (like "or")  * Asking questions with a certain length I'm hoping it's not the last 2, if it does start to seem like that we can work around it during the game. |

My question is if the career questions are supposed to be asked with all those options in one fell swoop or if you were just giving multiple examples for how the question could go?

Just examples. I think the first question would be good as a starter question because I think they'll be a high probability it's a sports-related event. And both the first two questions.
If there's no limit to words in the question, we could just ask:
1. Have you ever done any of the following: won a professional sports event, competed in a reality television show, been an elected political figure, performed on a live stage, or crowned a food eating champion?
There's a lot of trigger words in here. It is a coherrent question so I don't think we'll be penalized for it.

I'm going to go look up "Ultimates" of the world and see how I would phrase an accomplishment they've done to get an idea of other trigger words to look for in the phrase.
