Hello my fellow scions! I wish to inform you that I will have limited access during the trial times so I wonder if we could work together on the trial before hand, that way I can help give our team the best chance possible!~

I'd love to!
This is a super interesting challenge. We will need to do a thorough tracking of how many points each of the suspects have, most importantly our big two. If we have three people who can be online during the game, I think we should have the third person prioritize information tracking and deduction.
Does anyone know how many tribes, and therefore players, there are? I would expect there to be exactly one tribe for every suspect and we're going to have a tribe where we overlap our guilty suspect with their innocent suspect, and vice versa. Deducing this quickly will be paramount.

I think a good strategy will be to spend the first few minutes simply collecting evidence before using it on anyone, and at the start of the game it will be critical to count the number of suspects to confirm it is possible for my guess as to the setup to be correct. If it can be correct, I think it will be. If it's the case (same number of players as suspects), I think a safe assumption will be that anyone who puts any evidence on one of our suspects is going to be going directly against our goals.
If it's *not* deduction is going to be even more critical because we'll have to figure out who's doing what.

Thanks. That's 6 teams. If there are 6 suspects like there are in the rules example, I feel pretty confident that's what the setup is going to be like. Is there another perfectly symmetrical setup we could make?

GONTA HERE!
Gonta have ideas!
I think we should focus on just our main two suspects. I don't think misleading people by putting tokens on players we don't care about will help us. Placing a token on any of the 4 characters that don't have an impact on our score isn't going to help our personal score and will only encourage other teams to interfere/stop us if they think we're hurting them.
Also - we should be open to working with other teams! There will be three teams that have no relationship to our two main characters. Once we deduce which teams those are we should make them aware we're on their side and attempt to work together.

Gonta just had another thought. It is possible another team has the SAME goal as us if they put their stuff on the same two characters as us.
If this is the case, we would want to work with them, not against them.
Setup example:
A & B have same goals
C & D have same goals
E & F have same goals
In this scenario, it's predetermined which two tribes would go to TC at the same time. In fact, it could be that we're secretly going to mash-up into 3 tribes of 8 after this challenge and go to TC with our predetermined tribe that has the same goal as us.
We'll know if this is the case pretty early on though if a team is putting their chips on the same two players we are!

Seems reasonable. There's certainly a potential diplomatic element here. I 100% agree with the high level strategy part; we want to put our tokens down only on our big two suspects.

@gonta I doubt another tribe would have the exact same goal as us, but it's possible another tribe could have simply flipped goals from us. So our guilty is their innocent and their innocent is our guilty. That would be a seriously rough game to play.

Gonta think that scenario would be unlikely.
That would mean three sets of tribes with inverted scores from one another and intentionally result in three high scores and three low scores. Which Gonta would find odd if there are 2 losers and 4 winners.
Then again I guess both are equally likely scenarios. It could be we have direct competition, or it could be we're secretly meant to work with another tribe and decided to trust them or not. We should just be open to communication and see what happens! We'll have an idea of what's going on though once players start placing things.

Gonta had bad theory!
I reread rules, no two tribes have the same innocent or guilty people - so we can rule that theory out!

Why do you think that would be odd? The team that was closest to 0 E.G had the closest game would be 3/4, whereas the two tribes that lost the worst would be 5 and 6 going to tribal?

Yea. Because another tribe can't have the same goal as us, it seems like if they put any evidence on one of our huntches they *have* to have a rival wincon, if we assume they're only playing to further their own wincondition.

For the rest of the planning, I'm going to continue planning like it's the circle game. If it's the 1v1 there will be hardly any deduction necessary. We'll figure it out quickly and try to smash them.
If it's the circle game, we should target the team with a guilty on our innocent over the team with the innocent on our guilty with the Restrains and the defensive actions in my opinion.

Uh guys I think we may be cheating. We're using a group message and:
"
2. Proboards allows group PMs. However, you will not be allowed to use them in this game -- sorry. It might be a fun experiment for another game to try, but we designed this game for Zeta and there's enough going on with this game already that we don't want to add that element. One exception is that you can make group PMs with the mods, if you like, to get your questions answered as fast as possible.
