Pretty much that. I had immunity challenges. Nagito had idols out the wazoo. You didn't have either of that to survive.

A stud you say? Anyway, drafting up thoughts on this at the moment.

So my mind is not completely made up, but I have a strong leaning in one certain direction.

First off, Shuichi, Mikan, it's been a pleasure playing with both of you and hopefully we can all be good friends after this game (if we aren't already and just don't know it).

Mikan the way I see it, both you and shuichi have comeback narratives and the difference between them is a matter of how you've managed to survive. Shuichi won immunities and positioned himself in the middle. You were nice and kind and people generally wanted to keep you around. Your game was subtle, and while I think I could beat it in the end, it's very different from Shuichi's and Nagito's. Like since shuichi so kindly offered and alliance at final 11 or so (well it's more nuanced than that but that'll be explained at FTC), I've had a pretty good idea of the pitch he's going for and the game he's been playing. It's one I've been prepared to face if I was at the end with him. Yours is...different, I earnestly believe that honesty and kindness on their own can be enough to win the game so while his game is more strategic, I don't think that yours is unable to secure a win in the face of two people who will be more strategy focused (though I do think I indeed had a social game), and that's just the part of your game that I know about. Like of the 2 of you, you are way more likely to pull out something that the other two of us had no idea about.

The second thing is the spoiler effect that shuichi talks about, but my view is a bit more nuanced than how it's presented. Like when you have 3 people at the end, often times when you have a pair and an outsider, people are often unable to congregate on one of the pair and will vote for the outsider, this is usually because of the intertwining of the pairs plans with each others, meanwhile the outsider has a clear story. (I can link an article on it if you want), Not only is this a theory but it's held for almost every tribal council since season 21 of survivor. Similarly, while you may speak of Shuichi's game, it is one that is still very much tied to Nagito, they've had a clique together pretty much the entire game iirc, and certainly were seen as a pair on future foundation. As such in an final tribal council with shuichi and nagito, I am the likely outsider, and as such have a decent chance of winning. Meanwhile even though Nagito and I were mostly "allies by proxy" this game (Like seriously we rarely talked game with each other due to a good amount of distrust) we still had a stronger relationship than either of us with you, and as such you benefit from being the outsider in such a situation. I also like...don't really think immunity wins are all that convincing of an argument outside of what the player was already doing (you seem to share this sentiment), but I'm sure there will be more discussion of that at Final Tribal Council.

As such, it's probably in my best interest to vote you out here, Mikan. I know you likely vote for Shuichi in the end, and you have every right to, but I have faith in my abilities at FTC to earn other votes, and maybe even yours.

I don't think you and Shuichi are anything alike. The game isn't over so I can't be sure you seriously believe that rather then underselling yourself. This isn't the place for me to convince you of that, though. Or the differences in our games. I'm just going to talk about you versus Shuichi.

You've talked about how you don't think your relationships with Chihiro, Yasuhiro or Ibuki would change anything. That you were weak and carried and they won't respect that. The side you're leaving out is how we're not much better off in that department. Chihiro is someone I thought I could only get closer to via you. Yasu you've admitted is your friend. Ibuki and I only had one TC round of blissful PMs. Even if it's just a toe you have a bigger in to that door. Shuichi may have been on the same tribe as you but his interactions with them were completely different.

What about Shuichi himself? He'd become the last juror after I voted him out because I'm an asshole who doesn't keep their word to their best friend. Is that really what I want my last message to the game to be? Fuck you, I'll fuck anyone, anytime for any reason? I'm not a robot. I think you'd also agree he probably won't vote me and rightfully so.

I don't think you're unbeatable. I just think on the scale of whether you or Shuichi is a worse opponent that you'd be worse for me. I'm sorry but nothing that's been said has changed my mind on that.
