You will be presented with a racetrack board. At the start, it looks like this. As you can see, the track is made up of a number of spaces. Each round, each horse moves a predetermined number of spaces, with a minimum of 0 and maximum of 3. When the challenge begins, players may begin to bet on the horses. Players may place bets until the challenge ends and the race is complete. There will be 8 betting rounds, and in each round you may bet up to three coins in any distribution you see fit. You have 20 coins in total and bets cannot be withdrawn. The winning horse pays out 2:1. So for each coin you bet on it, you triple your money. The second place horse pays out 3:2, so it returns 150% of bets. All other bets are lost. Any player who kept some of their coins does count those toward their final score. At predetermined times, the positions of the horses are announced. This will occur roughly every 3 minutes. Each of these posts indicates the end of one betting round and start of the next one. When we begin, you will also be presented with a set of cryptograms. These cryptograms represent clues about the race. Using all of the decoded cryptograms and information about the race, it is possible to logically conclude which horse wins the race. The alphabet is not consistent across the cryptograms; treat each as a separate puzzle. No outside sources are permitted in this challenge and no communicating about the challenge is allowed during it. The horses are named and numbered as follows. 1 The Mad Trotter 2 Mr. Edlicious 3 Hay Girl Hay 4 Big Sebastian 5 Nightmare 6 Sir Neighs-A-Lot 7 Horse O'War 8 Son of Pegasus The player with the most coins at the end wins immunity. In the event of a tie, bets on the third place horse will be the first tiebreaker, followed by which player first bet on the winning horse. We will now have a question period.

To preempt this question, you can assume the horses' names do correspond to their traits. For example, if a clue mentioned "the most edlicious horse," that would of course be Mr. Edlicious.

Oh 2 questions that are likely in the rules that I skimmed:
1. Must bets be bolded? 2. Can we change our bet distrubution during a round?

At a time that I will announce very soon, I will post all the cryptograms.
At that moment, ROUND ONE betting will open. Betting will remain open until my next post, which should occur in roughly 3 minutes.
My next post will say:
Naturally, any bets placed after that point will count in round 2, and any bets before will count in round 1, and so on.
In answer to the questions above, I do not care about bolding, because the only posts you should be making in this thread should be your bets. I will take the first bets you put in, so if you attempt to change your bet later in the round, I will simply ignore it.
Remember, no communication with each other about this challenge!
Any more questions?

question: where can we shitpost throughout this challenge

Note: These colors used in the racetrack images are purely to help you visually understand which horse is where on the track and have nothing to do with the clues.
It may be hard to read the font but the horse names there are the same as is written in text in the first post.
