Oh, yeah in all the years of owning mario party I don't think I ever did a board map not on the shortest turn setting. It goes way too long on anything else. We usually played only the minigames anyway.
It's more funny playing goldeneye now. I remember getting so into it and now I can't really see it. Ahh nostalgia is such a weird thing.

Usually we only had two players so it was just us and two AI's. At least they take their turns quickly?

2 player mario party doesn't sound like fun. 4 players is when the friendships really got tested. You get to boo and you're ready to steal someone's star. Which friend is the least important to you?
In a lot of ways, I wonder if mario party prepared me for online survivor.

Were there any games you got pretty into? I take it you grew up with the N64 gen era?

It's hard to narrow down when I've played a lot of games. I was into World of Warcraft for years back when Barrens Chat was a meme. I like collaborative games and games that have a lot of storytelling in them.

Never played World of Warcraft. The main mmo I got into was Runescape. (There was some weird one sided rivalry people on runescape had with WoW so we never associated with that game). I wonder if I should try old school runescape now that it's a thing because it's totally changed into an unrecognizable game at this point, but I feel like it's going to be so much less epic than I remember. (And grinding for levels is probably not going to have the same appeal to me as it did back then)

Oh yeah MMO's were weirdly territorial. I knew Dark Age of Camelot players who sneered at how cartoony WoW is. The ones who did both hid it from their DAoC associates. I never got that. I didn't try Runescape since no one I knew irl played it and playing an MMO alone is boring. Before that I played a much older MMO called Dark Ages by Nexon. If you were going to try an MMO now I'd just suggest asking people you know what they're playing and play that. Or play something newer that isn't an MMO but you can compete with friends for high scores.

I might be a little inactive the next few days. Bear with me. A coworker just suddenly quit so my workload is going to be intense until my boss figures something out.
Also, how much longer until an epic VR mmo appears and replaces real society?

Good luck. I had that problem last week! Someone was sick with the flu for a few days. Not as bad as up and quitting but still.
If that happens the first thing I'm doing is finding the glitches and unlocking the Key of the Twilight.

Monokuma, aren't you supposed to be the evil one? Or are you saying I'm dying soon! Ahhh. If I die, make this your new confessional! I'll do the same I'm starting to make harder alliances with Celestia and Kyoko so hopefully something comes of that. I feel like everyone has soft alliances with everyone right now, and it's going to be the least controversial boot every time until the hard alliances start taking over. (If I'm reading the room correctly, Sayaka seems to be the next "easy boot"?) There's a lot of strong social players though, so hopefully we get on the right side of the numbers and aren't just unceremoniously booted as the next easiest vote like Teruteru was. Also I assumed the key of twilight thing was a Ready Player One reference but I googled it and it looks like something else. Might be worth watching because I'm still smarting with disappointment from Ready Player One.

I'm not sure we'd even be allowed to talk if one of us goes because of juror things. If you're doing the social thing correctly then I believe Sayaka being easy is correct. We just need to talk to the players on the other side and figure out who needs toppling and who's on the same level as us. I'm not willing to be an eventual casualty. Eventually thoughts will shift to the people in charge being scary and that's when we can make #BIG MOVES
I've not seen RP1. I was referencing the .hack series which the anime was good for a few episodes and then got very weird. Think an entire episode to explain why one of the characters uses B.T. as an online handle and what that has to do with sandwiches weird. The video games were fun.

I've traded my hair dyes with Kyoko without the note. I might come clean it's a fake idol soon but I'm curious what her first impressions on it are to see what would be reasonable to believe about it.

I think a good potential pathway forward, is try to build up this Ibuki/Korekiyo/Akane alliance so there's a bogeyman to topple that's not us. Still hard to plan too far ahead or talk things over when we have no idea what to expect. I feel kind of paralyzed talking game right now because there's so many unknowns and don't know where to start.

Don't tell anyone that it's a fake idol. It's really important to keep close to us that the item could do something. It's better if you pretend you personally don't know what it is either. If you tell anyone it's fake that information will spread, it's just how it works. You should get used to the idea that everybody talks about everything. Someone like me who doesn't care to share like that is rare.

The best use of it tbh will be if we get hint you're in danger, to say you're playing it, see if the mods will let you play it and announce it's fake, and people will probably leave you alone for that round in a pinch because they 'know' you have 'something'.
I like the idea of going after them as an alliance. I'm not going to say it that way when I talk to people since Kyoko is handling that. I wonder if it'll go beyond voting out one of them (probably Korekiyo) as a compromise before things get crazy.

tbh I'm just hoping Hagakure survives and we can bro it up with him

Yeah, from what I've heard from players with clique contacts, Hagakure is not getting along with Akane at all and he's not in a good position. I think we just hope Hiyoko goes before he does. Although honestly, Hiyoko getting laughed at for being on the wrong side of the numbers by Kirekiyo seemed a little poor sportsmanship by Kiro so I kind of am rooting for both of them at this point.
Also you are right about people leaking things. It's been a loooong time since I played my last game, but I heard the meta is share everything. So I didn't tell Kyoko. I'm still pretending to have no idea what it does. If she leaks I have an item with mysterious power, then either I get blindsided to remove it, or I have a the basis for a threat to make if I'm ever on the wrong side of the numbers. Could work out either way.

Oh geez that sounds like a nightmare. Both of them seem unhappy. I wish there was some way to turn it around for the two of them. I think Kiyo honestly thought he was being eliminated. Either way he comes off badly from the whole exchange.
As long as people think it has the possibility of being useful you can always give it away to be helpful or whatever. I don't think they'll come after you for it. If anything we should wait until other items eventually get played. If an idol or doublevote or whatever that looks similar to it gets played it'll add to the authenticity.

Who told you that? Kyoko? She hasn't mentioned it to me yet. They both lost all their cliquemates so how would that happen?

Celestia told me. But a message Kyoko gave me makes more sense now that I know he's talking to Mikan. I guess when two cliques are down to 1 person they merge? That sounds kind of lame tbh That shouldn't be allowed. A clique is like part of your identity. You can't just join a new one.

On the other hand that's hilarious. Because Kyoko and Mikan never met so this clique is sticking two random strangers together.
