Kyoko ends up winning it, cool. She's not gonna put me up. She consults with Celeste and myself in very quick chatroom paced messages. Celeste and I are telling her "Put up Sayaka next to Hiyoko and who cares who goes out!! However, Kyoko tells me that she wants to go after a big threat. That gives me a spook because I was pretty sure I was a big threat, but no, she actually meant Yasuhiro and Mikan. But I don't think either of us were big threats? Who the hell was going to vote for me other than probably Chihiro? Kiyo hated me, Ibuki thought I was fake, Hiyoko stabbed me in the back ,where were my votes supposed to come from? I really don't think I had any shot of winning this game whatsoever. argh It's so painful that I was a few points away from really shaking this game up. If I'd won that stupid challenge I'd have probably thrown Nagito and Kyoko in there, replacing with Gundham, easy. Me Sayaka Mikan get out safe, Akane maybe sticks with us, we have a real shot at making it far. Good thing I'm crap at challenges.

They're gonna lock the jury forum during FTC.
I think I'm going to make a Shuichi pitch to the group fairly soon. If he makes the end I think he has the most compelling story and I'd want him to win. Gundham floating along behind Kyoko and Celes isn't compelling. Mikan floating along behind me and Hiyoko and Akane isn't compelling. Nagito having 10000 items isn't compelling. Shuichi's growth and going on mad challenge runs is compelling. I think so anyway.

I feel like Celes and I are really similar players (she's just way better than I am) so it's weird we didn't click faster/better than we did. Maybe she felt like I was fake too. I'm afraid to read her confessional even if it's sparse.

Ok, Shuichi pitch made. Hopefully he lives to FTC so it was worth writing all that down. If he and Mikan both make it, it'll be difficult to choose between them but as of now Shuichi has my vote.

Yasuhiro - probably the only vote I have leaning my way. Yasu claimed he played this to make friends and I do think I was his but this is yet another example of me voting on the wrong side. Sad thing is I'm actually leaning Shuichi It's true that's my primary motivation for playing these games, which is why the betrayals sting so much, but I never felt like I had the connection to her like I had with Ibuki (fake as it was I guess) or Chihiro and somehow I doubt I ever really factored into her plans to get to the end of the game. I think that's true of everyone really, I seriously doubt anybody was thinking about taking me to the end outside Chihiro, I'm pretty sure everyone saw me as an obstacle that they had to deal with at some point. So, I compare Mikan and Shuichi and I say ok, I was allies with both, take that out of the equation, what else is left? I talked at length about Shuichi, so Mikan's story would be her being an underdog the whole game, which I mentioned to her somewhere before. Huh? I can't imagine you as anybody's goat. You have too good a story for that, overcoming all kinds of adversity. Yeah there you go. It's hard not to root for an underdog but, I don't think it's as compelling a story as Shuichi's. Shuichi had his fair share of trouble too, but the difference between them is, he played his own way out of it where Mikan had to rely heavily on others. That does point to her social game sure, I'm not denying her that at all, but I just feel like Shuichi did more. What I will say is, if Nagito and Gundham did have an F3 deal with Shuichi (and this hasn't been denied) and they don't bring him, Mikan is an automatic vote. I don't care what they have to say, those agreements should absolutely mean something. Making the two of them argue this out in public is entertaining but if they really had an F3 this shouldn't even be happening, the votes should already be locked in.

I'm really enjoying this suddenly super active jury. Now I'm wishing we had more time. I can't be satisfied with anything.
The stuff that Mikan and Kyoko posted in Mikan's thread means a hell of a lot to me and they probably don't even realize. Until they read this I guess. I've really been feeling like a non-entity in this game since the last few jurors joined.

I don't remember if I mentioned it but I really enjoyed how well themed everything in the game was, from the color choices to the forum section names to the challenges. A lot of love went into this and it shows.

Nah dude thank you! Players take mods way for granted. So I've read through all the the opening speeches and they're a lot of words. People should follow my example more I'm gonna digest and wordspew in here a bit as I ruminate.

Gundham - Maybe this is just my bias, but this huge section about "the qualities of a winner" is a huge turnoff. As a juror I may have failed in the game but I have rightfully earned my vote and I can use it how I see fit. This giant bunch of nonsense about what qualities a winner apparently must possess just comes off as incredibly arrogant. I'm no Survivor guru by any stretch, I can't name all the winners off the top of my head but what I can do is guarantee there have been winners from the real show, and winners from past MS games, that don't fit what Gundham apparently feels is his ideal.
The other problem is, he doesn't even fit some of his own criteria. Individuality? He was seen, by everyone, as part of the Grey trio from start of merge. Akane was an individual. Shuichi was an individual. Good God were Sayaka and Hiyoko individuals. Don't feed me this line when it's clearly not true. Friendliness? My PMs beg to differ, which he even admits: "Yasuhiro, we didn't talk a lot to be honest. I'm not sure we clicked too easily and you had a number of other people you knew better than me." I guess I'm to blame for that? We all had Agency, everyone had their own votes except the Big Brother round I guess, I have no idea what he's trying to say with this. I will give him points for Respectability. I do not for Adaptability, he made no attempt to reach out to me even with our tenuous alliance in place, he was set in stone with what he wanted to do. Safety? Goats are safe my friend. All of this adds up to a fairly major lack of Awareness wouldn't you say?
What about Loyalty? What about Empathy? How does this guy subtly nudge Shuichi as being a gamebot when this giant ass wall of text reads like it was written by the Survivortron 3000 itself? Some of the other jurors may be impressed by this but this huge speech does nothing for me.

Nagito - I appreciate his was short, especially after going through all of Gundham's stuff, but I'm coming away more confused than anything. He said Leadership is what he chose because he wanted to be listened to. But other than Black tribe I don't see where he demonstrated this? "it definitely locked the game into this F3 since despite not talking to Gundham, no one would ever do his vote now. Trust me, I asked. " - doesn't that mean people weren't listening to you? Doesn't Akane trying to stab you mean people weren't listening to you? Doesn't being surprised by my vote mean etcetc you get the point.
I'm also puzzled about why he's trying to downplay the idols. I personally think Survivor in general has way too many of the things and they hold way too much influence over games but if they're going to be part of the game and if you're going to hold that power own it. He apparently put hours and hours into finding the things, clearly he wanted them, why downplay it now? I dunno, his whole speech read more as A Brief History of What Happened and not an argument for why he should win.

Shuichi - One of his biggest problems, which he didn't address at all, is people view him as a gamebot. I was really hoping he'd talk about that a bit, and I'm super glad I made that giant jury forum post now because he didn't really highlight the change at all. I found myself nodding along to everything else, his account of the game rings true. It's kinda funny, a lot of people feel that Shuichi and Nagito played similar games, and here Shuichi is doing the same thing Nagito did - the one thing that really separated him from other players, winning immunities and being a challenge beast, is totally downplayed. The #1 goal of the game according to most is personal safety, nothing makes you more safe than that immunity necklace. Why not highlight your challenge record? It's impressive.
I'm definitely going to ask him about Mediators, I'm also going to ask why I didn't qualify for the "ride or die pact". I'm also going to ask, if his overall strategy was "making it seem like my interests aligned with any specific person so they would always feel comfortable coming to me" why did I feel like he was the biggest question mark in merge.

There've been some games where the spectators had low opinions of some of the players and weren't shy about sharing them.
And I didn't play a very good game.

If a finalist asks for clarification on a question, we can clarify/re-ask without that counting as another question right?

I seriously think Ibuki has completely forgotten that Kiyo ever existed or maybe suppressed the memory.

I'm full of questions today.
You guys are going to open the final immunity challenge forum when this is over right? I'm curious what that looked like.
