I think my legacy this game is gonna be the idiot who didn't realize he was a villain the entire time. I really can't conclude anything else at this point but that I was aligned with all the villains in the game and just didn't know. at the very last second, akane and nagito decided they couldn't handle my toxicity anymore and voted me because I was "whacky". Nagito didn't tell me I was going, either. And Akane wouldn't have, I found out through Gundham, she wanted to keep it secret to spite me. This is SO FRUSTRATING because I made this pitch to Nagito last round and he booted me anyway aRGH I dunno if makes sense to still be posting here but whatever. |

A huge part of my jury vote could hinge on who the mysterious 4th voter was my round. It's probably no surprise but I value loyalty and integrity pretty highly. Whoever lied to me about their vote tanked their shot at my support in FTC.
It's really really strange that Hiyoko doesn't know who saved her. You'd think that person would want to claim credit.

I've been thinking a lot about what went wrong this game and the decisions I made that could've changed things. If everyone thought I was fake then I don't think my decisions really mattered that much, I was doomed regardless but putting that aside what was it.
Should I have been wise to Ibuki? Obviously the way she handled the Makoto vote was really shady and it did damage things. To her credit, she did a great job fixing things afterwards due to sheer effort but that incident combined with Kiyo's note was what sealed things for me. But prior to that? I can't recall hearing anything about her being fake with people. I should ask Kiyo what tipped them off, see if they saw something I missed.
What about Hiyoko? I'm really still not clear what I did there. I don't know why she felt I was so expendable. I did everything I could to support her and I don't recall lying to her about anything. We also voted together until that F11 round. Hindsight says I should have listened to Akane, Akane clearly saw through her bullshit and if she gets juried at some point I want to know details of what happened there to see what I missed. But at the time I didn't have any reason to listen to her over Hiyoko. Was that really a mistake? She told me once she wanted to rescue me from Hiyoko, that she was trying to save me. It really struck me at the time as out of the blue but genuine, but I didn't have any reason to trust her above Hiyoko so I ignored it. I can't think of any other warning signs in the game.
The mysterious 4th voter will have to wait I guess.
Clearly how I handled Celes and all the nonsense that vote was terrible. What I was weighing at the time was Celes on one side, who had been distant all game until very recently (the timing of which was awfully suspicious) and Sayaka, Chihiro and Mikan who I felt were under threat on the other. I didn't want a repeat of last game where I saw my allies die off one by one, I wanted to be proactive and take a chance. If I'd stayed passive and let Sayaka go, I'm sure I'd have gotten further. But I can't really think of a scenario that gets me to an endgame if I let that happen. I told Celes that move was a mistake and for us it was but I don't think just voting with the majority there was the right call either. I think this may be better answered depending on how well that trio holds together.
In the end I just circle back to failing as a social player. I didn't have enough people who felt they could rely on me. I wouldn't be surprised if Chihiro was the only one. Can't win a game that way.

I was so rooting for Sayaka but I'm not surprised she didn't make it.
It's exactly what I feared right, my friends just getting picked off one by one. Mikan's probably next. It's so frustrating that I can't do anything about it.
This isn't fair. I think Sayaka read her situation correctly and tried to rally people to fight the exact scenario we're seeing play out. It's not her fault nobody can keep secrets. People just seem content to float along until they run out of options.
If the Trio makes it out of this round intact they basically get to dictate how endgame goes. They negate the fact that most of the jury isn't terribly thrilled with them which gives them all a better shot than letting one of the middle players live. If I have to vote between Celes/Kyoko/Gundham.... I don't even know.

Hmm actually based on the lack of happy exuberance that the trio usually has no problem with showing in public, it probably does. She probably was their target this round. I wonder if this is where one of the middle players like Shuichi, Akane or Nagito gets targeted. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see a Shuichi push.
Hey mods if you're still looking at this, can you talk about the idol clue thing? Not who has it but how to solve the puzzle?

Shuichi and I had that big talk at the end of Mediators, when he came to me desperate for allies. I talked to him about opening up to people more. He was playing really conservative, very gamebotty, and that didn't inspire a lot of trust or affection with everybody else. I think I copy/pasted his response here. I told him then, the guy was the complete package, if he kept up that level of social interaction he'd be unstoppable and he'd easily be a threat to win the game. That prediction is looking pretty good so far.
When we met at merge and I was watching everything go down in flames he reminded me about how being an emotional/social player means game moves hurt more. And he's right! I'm hoping he's keeping it up though. His development as a player would be a really cool story to tell at FTC, and one I'd easily be willing to vote for.
